There are some other pieces of information in the manifest, but these are the ones you will care most about. If you are of a certain age, you will remember a time when Microsoft Windows was plagued with a problem called DLL Hell. When you installed a program on Windows, it would replace common code libraries with the versions that it required, overwriting the versions that other, already installed, programs depended on, thus making them unusable.
